While some of my friends experience critical income shortcomings, I can not complain at all. During the last half year I could improve my gear but of course long-distance hiking is impossible at the moment. There will be no CYTC in 2021 since it is impossible to travel to the US. I am also careful and I do stick to recommendations of experts and of trail associations such as the ATC and the PCTA.
I am still working for the government at the moment I take drivers from the road, simply by passing information from office to another. This other office happens to be the road authority and based on the information I provide, they get the driver’s license from people.
I do believe, that international travel will be possible starting from the middle of the year earliest. I do however look around for possibilities in Europe such as doing the entire GR5.
